James' and Christine's Favorite Spring Wines

This beautiful day inspired me to share our four favorite Spring wines with you.
(two whites + two reds)
Christine and I will buy cases of each upon release—but these latest vintages are absolutely extraordinary, and without question, their finest to date.
One sip is all it takes for them becoming our client's new house wines.

Imagine a Premier Cru Chablis, grown at 2,625 feet above sea level, on the side of an active volcano—in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Yeah.
White number two is the 2019 Domaine A. Cailbourdin 'Les Cris' Pouilly-Fume, which is everything I could want in a fine French white.
I rediscovered this gem after a wonderful client's request for it, after enjoying the pairing course at Atelier Crenn.
She asked for seven cases.
You will too! This is softer and silkier than Sancerre—with layered saline nuances found in great Chablis. Wow.
Several weeks back, I wrote "don't buy this" as the email subject title, because halfway through writing the offer I realized I didn't want to sell this wine out.
Alas, all 60 bottles that were alloted to me of the 2020 M&C Lapierre Morgon "N" Unsulfured Morgon were immediately gone.
Nevertheless—I'm elated that our friends at Kermit Lynch are sending us 60 more bottles next week. This is the most ethereal and transcendental wine you, or I, will ever taste.
You've likely seen the last red today offered several times.
The 2015 La Rioja Alta Ardanza Reserva is among the greatest vintages of this wine we've tasted, and among our Top 10 Best Old World Buys of 2022.
It is destined to surpass the 2010, 1973, and 1964 with age.
The explosive aromatics are followed by stunning energy & a mile-long finish.
