The Farming. Currently in the final stages of full organic certification. In the sun-drenched 2024 vintage, that meant perfectly ripe fruit with zero chemical intervention. The Cellar. Spontaneous fermentations on native yeast. Minimal sulfur. A patient 18-month aging regimen: 12 months in barrel followed by 6 months in stainless steel for definition. The exact blueprint used by the cult icons of Chablis. The Light Touch. Only 20% new oak — the goal is structural intensity and the transmission of limestone salinity, not vanilla and toast. |
The result is addictive Chardonnay. Lemon and lime zest, crunchy orchard fruits, underripe nectarine, a thread of dried thyme, and a distinct sea-salt mineral finish that mirrors high-end Puligny-Montrachet. It has a precision and "nerve" increasingly rare in southern Burgundy — and at $29.97/bottle ($27.97 by the case), it is the most compelling white Burgundy value we have offered in years.

What a Puligny-Tier Bottle Costs in a Restaurant
Restaurants charge for what's in the glass, not the appellation on the label.
| Venue | Per Bottle | Case (12) |
| Fine French (Atelier Crenn, La Folie) | $110–$130 | $1,320–$1,560 |
| Upscale Bistro / Wine Bar | $90–$110 | $1,080–$1,320 |
| Average U.S. Retail (Same Bottle) | $45.00 | $540.00 |
| Your Price (Artisan Wine) | $27.97 | $335.64 |
A case at restaurant pricing: $1,080–$1,560. A case at Artisan: $335.64. The math doesn't require a calculator.
The Producer
Famille Paquet: Quiet Operators
in the Limestone Hills of Solutré.
The Paquet family farms vineyards across the Mâconnais — the warmer southern stretch of Burgundy where the great Chardonnay reaches its most generous expression. Their holdings sit in the shadow of the Roche de Solutré, the dramatic limestone outcrop that has defined the geology of fine white Burgundy for two thousand years. The same calcareous soils run north into the Côte de Beaune and the grand cru vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet. Same parent rock. Different price.
The 2024 vintage was one of the strongest white Burgundy vintages of the decade. A long, even growing season; healthy fruit; perfect natural acidity. The Paquet team picked at optimal ripeness, fermented in cool cellars on indigenous yeast, and aged the wine for a full year in barrel before settling it for six months in stainless steel. The result is the cleanest possible expression of Solutré limestone — sea-salt mineral, lemon-zest precision, orchard-fruit generosity, and the kind of inner tension you usually have to spend $80 to find.

Six Reasons a Case Is the Smart Play
|
① Save $204.36 Per Case That's over 38% off the same case anywhere else. A four-bottle discount, hidden inside the dozen. |
② The 2024 Vintage Won't Repeat 2024 is being called one of the strongest white Burgundy vintages of the decade. The 2025 will be a different wine in a different year. Once these ten cases are gone, the 2024 is gone. |

③ Restaurant Math Is Absurd A case at fine French dining: $1,320–$1,560. At an upscale bistro: $1,080–$1,320. Yours: $335.64. Bring it to a BYO night and you've changed the economics of the evening. |
④ Spring & Summer Are Here Mother's Day. Memorial Day. Father's Day. July 4th. Every dinner party between now and Labor Day. A case in the cellar is the right answer to all of it. |
|
|
⑤ Drinks Through 2030 A year in barrel and six months in steel give this Bourgogne real cellaring legs. Drink some now — lay the rest down for two or three years and watch the limestone deepen into honeyed complexity. |
⑥ Twelve Reasons to Show Up Well Hostess gifts. Mother's Day singles. Thank-you bottles. Last-minute dinner-party arrivals. A case is twelve chances to be the friend who shows up with great Burgundy at one-third the price. |

The Most Versatile White
You'll Open This Spring.

The Obvious Pairings Halibut in brown butter. Pan-seared scallops. Roast chicken with herbs. Oysters on the half-shell. Sole meunière. Anything that asks for a "great white wine" without dressing up. The Cheese Plate Aged comté, fresh chèvre, brie, washed-rind époisses. The limestone minerality plays beautifully with French dairy. |
The Italian Table Cacio e pepe. Risotto al limone. Linguine alle vongole. Burrata with peaches and basil. The wine has the acid to cut through butter and the body to match richness. The Spring & Summer Pour Composed salads, smoked-trout toasts, lobster rolls, rosé-adjacent moments. A perfect warm-weather white that never feels like a compromise. |
The Artisan Insider Verdict
"The Paquet 2024 is the white Burgundy I have been trying to find for years — the limestone, the precision, the patient barrel ageing, the salinity — at a price that lets you actually drink it. It belongs in your cellar by the case, not the single. Christine and I bought one for ourselves; we'll be opening bottles all summer. Ten cases remain. When they're gone, the lowest-in-California pricing goes with them."
