"The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Forêts Saint Georges 1er Cru is very elegant on the nose with brambly red berry fruit, touches of damp loamy soil and just a very slight ferrous aroma. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very focused and pure with just the right amount of acidity. Very harmonious, this is a gorgeous Clos des Forêts that should give 15-20 years of drinking pleasure (at least). (Drink between 2025-2050)" - Neal Martin (Dec 2021)

"Deep ruby. Markedly earthy aromas include notes of garrigue, poached plum, cassis and a smoky component. The rich, energetic and well-detailed larger-scaled flavors evidence solid muscle and power on the moderately rustic, balanced and complex finale. 90-94 Points - Jasper Morris' Inside Burgundy: "43% whole bunch. A rich deep dense purple colour. Concentrated dark fruit, there is a plummy richness to the fruit, suggests maybe picked a day or two late. Pleasingly fresh finish, almost a bit angular, as if there are two parts to the wine which have not yet fully integrated. The structure suggests picked a fraction too early, the fruit says it needed to be harvested." (Dec 2021)
