About the Winery:
For over fifty years, the Broglia family has been the custodian of La Meirana, a unique estate in the heart of Gavi, today the largest single contiguous property in the appellation, with more than 70 hectares planted to a single grape variety.
Founded in 1972 by Bruno Broglia, a textile entrepreneur, the winery is now led by the third generation of the family, who carry forward with dedication a vision grounded in respect for the land, quality and the value of time.
Roberto and Filippo, sons of Piero, together with Bruno, son of Paolo, continue this family story, harvest after harvest.
About this Wine:
100% Timorasso
TASTING NOTES: Deep light straw yellow color, delicate, very persistent, fruity and reminiscent of the aristocratic scent of the grapes from which is derived. Dry, agreeable, clean and harmonic.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs well with lilght, delicate dishes, such as appetizers and fish courses, as well as white meat dishes.
Ratings & Reviews
92 Points - Vinous:
"The 2019 Derthona Timorasso is redolent of orange peel, dried herbs, chamomile and petrol. This full-bodied, dense white is another offering in this range meant for the dinner table. Here, too, there is plenty of character." -Antonio Galloni (May 2025)
92 Points - Decanter:
"Quite perfumed, with a smoky apricot, salty pineapple, and ripe orange flavours with a stony freshness and quince finish."
90 Points - Wine Spectator:
"A light touch of vanilla frames the honey, peach and salty, mineral flavors in this lively white. Fine balance and length make this enjoyable now, yet with the ability to age. 1,600 cases made, 100 cases imported."
