About the Winery:
In the 1960s, Giuseppe Inama began buying up small vineyard plots on Mount Foscarino, a volcanic peak in the heart of the Soave Classico zone, and as a result, the Inama winery today owns most of the vineyards on Mount Foscarino. Giuseppe Inama saw the great potential of these old, traditional vineyards at a time when others were more intent on producing larger quantities in the plains for inexpensive exports. His son Stefano, who took over the winemaking duties in 1992, continued to work tirelessly to realize the potential of these vineyards,
Stefano Inama is one of those producers who embodies the respect for tradition but is constantly thinking and striving to do more and better and isn't afraid to take risks. In 2020, the third generation of the Inama family joined the family winery. Today, brothers Alessio, Matteo, and Luca are unapologetically pushing the winery to new heights - from their agricultural approach to their winemaking philosophies to a new spirit of experimentation. In the final analysis, Inama has truly succeeded in combining ancient grape varieties, nearly forgotten winemaking practices, and modern technology to produce both white and red wines that are benchmarks for northeastern Italy.
About this Wine:
Our classic reserve. In 1997, we produced the first vintage of a wine we named Bradyseism, after the geological event that created the Berici Hills. The wine immediately revealed itself to be strongly influenced by the presence of Carmenere, which makes it unique and inimitable.
Bradisismo expresses a synthesis between the intense aroma of ripe and concentrated cherry of Cabernet Sauvignon, together with the liveliness of notes of Carmenere, pepper, cocoa and berries, and the sumptuousness of Cabernet Franc.
For lovers of blends with Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is the perfect alternative to a Supertuscan or a top Bordeaux: excellent quality/price ratio.
Ratings & Reviews
92 Points - James Suckling:
"Restrained cassis, smoke, graphite and leather. Elegant attack with light extraction, a medium to full body, crisp acidity and a good finish that shows graphite minerality and dark chocolate. Ripe tannins and overall harmony. " (July 2024)
92 Points - Vinous Media:
"A dusting of autumnal spice, shavings of cedar and rose petal gives way to redcurrant as the 2021 Cabernet Bradisismo slowly evolves in the glass. This floods the palate with silky textures and a mix of ripe red and blue fruit that swirls across a stream of vibrant acidity. This tapers off long and staining yet only gently tannic, with a raspberry tinge and hints of dark chocolate. In 2021, the blend is 46% Carménère, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc. " - Eric Guido (Nov 2023)
