From the Winery:

Greco 50%, Falanghina 34%, Fiano 16%. Gemina is the name of an ancient Roman grape planted in the region around the Massican hills of southern Italy. This grape variety originates from Greece, dating back to the first century when it was first called Aminea Gemina. Today, we know this grape variety as Greco. Gemina is a unique white wine blend combining grapes originally from southern Italy and now grown in California. This blend balances our winery’s familial history in southern Italy with our passion for fresh coastal white wines of the Mediterranean.

Ratings & Reviews:

94 Points - Decanter (2024):
The 2024 Gemina is one of Massican’s most distinctive blends, composed of 49% Falanghina, 45% Greco and 6% Fiano. Whole-cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel and oak barrels, it was aged for five months in a mix of stainless steel and used French oak. Bright and super lemony, the wine pulses with lime zest and soaring acidity, underscored by oyster-shell minerality and a distinctly savoury, saline edge. Light- to medium-bodied, it carries a lifted energy, layered with white flowers, salted Marcona almonds and a snappy, zippy finish that leaves the palate refreshed and wanting more.
