About the Winery:
Miner is a dynamic family-owned winery tucked along the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation in the heart of Napa Valley. Founded in 1998 by Dave and Emily Miner, Miner Family Winery crafts reserve-style wines by sourcing fruit from Napa Valley and other specially selected California vineyards.

Our winemaking team uses a combination of old world winemaking techniques and modern technology to make wines that reflect the unique characteristics of individual vineyards or “terroir” where specific varietals grow best. This fusion of superb vineyard sites and thoughtful winemaking allows Miner to deliver elegant, expressive wines.

About the Wine:
Miner Family's 2022 Volker Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Chiles Valley, grown at the historic Volker Eisele estate vineyard on the eastern slopes of Napa Valley.

Winemaking: The wine aged for 21 months in French oak, 55% new.

Tasting Notes: Bold notes of cedar, cocoa and juicy cherry, delicately balanced with ripe acidity and a round, lingering finish. Rich flavor and generous tannins point to a lovely evolution in the bottle for years to come.

Technical Details: 750 mL; Chiles Valley, Napa Valley, California; 100% Cabernet Sauvignon; 14.2% alcohol.

"This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the historic Volker Eisele Estate vineyard, nestled on the eastern slopes of Napa Valley. Explosive kirsch and raspberry compote aromas lift from the glass, layered with heady rose petal notes. Medium-bodied with striking mineral intensity, the palate showcases grippy tannins and a vibrant core of riper blue and black-toned fruits that unfold on the lengthy finish. Grown at 275–335 metres (900–1,100 feet) atop clay-loam and shale soils, the vineyard was certainly tested by the 2022 heatwave. Yet, the wine retains impressive tension and energy.
