About the Winery:
The winery was founded in 2004 by Jonathan Pey, whose prestigious wine career saw him working with the likes of Domaine Louis Jadot, Penfolds, and Robert Mondavi Vineyards. Together with his late wife Susan, they cultivated not grapes but relationships with great growers throughout the Valley in order to obtain superior lots for consistent quality. Today wines are made by Abigail Estrada, who gleaned her winemaking expertise around the world working in Italy, New Zealand, Israel as well as with prestigious Napa Valley brands like Robert Mondavi, Domaine Chandon, and Markham.
Winemaker Notes:
I set out to create a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon with elegance and restraint, yet captured the unmistakable power of Napa. To that end, I went to great lengths to source from superb vineyards in sub-AVAs across the valley, beginning in Oakville. Once harvested, each lot was vinified and aged separately in 100% French oak before being meticulously blended. After years of careful craftsmanship, we proudly present a balanced deeply expressive bottling - a "textbook" example and a stunning reflection of Napa Valley.

Ratings & Reviews
93 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"Aged for 16 months in 35% new French oak, this blend is sourced from selected sites in Oak Knoll, Yountville, Oakville, and Calistoga. Each lot was vinified and aged separately before blending, with 2% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot rounding out the composition. A rather pretty wine, featuring Bing cherry fruit, cigar box character, and violet flowers, building on the medium-bodied palate with a terrifically pure juiciness supported by a bed of solid tannins that resolve into layers of sweet-spiced loamy earth and cola nut." - Jonathan Cristaldi (Feb 2025)
93 Points - Wine Review Online:
"How nice to see a Napa Valley wine designated with a family name that a family can afford to purchase. There are a few left out there, but the worthy ones are few indeed. This hits the mark with classic Cabernet aromas and flavors accented by soft notes of pepper and dried herbs. It is food friendly, approachable now, and will gain complexity over at least the next five years. Contains 10% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot." - Rich Cook (Feb 2025)
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Luxurious and velvety, this full-flavored Cabernet brings together dark plums and blackberries dripping with ripeness and sprinkled with cocoa. Palate coating tannins are balanced through a persistent finish." - Elaine Chukan Brown (Nov 2025)
91 Points - James Suckling:
"A dry, well-balanced red that features red fruit and balsam aromas, then fresh raspberry and blackberry flavors on a full body. A bit lighter and less tannic than many Napa cabs. Elegant and poised. Drink now." (Mar 2025)
