About the Winery:
Turley Wine Cellars was founded in Napa Valley by former emergency room physician Larry Turley in 1993. Under the direction of winemaker Tegan Passalacqua, Turley now makes 50 different wines from over 50 vineyards across California, primarily Zinfandel and Petite Syrah, with many vines dating back to the late 1800s. By farming organically and focusing on old vine vineyards of these varieties, Turley aims to both create and preserve California’s unique winemaking culture.
About the Wine:
Though a recent addition to the Turley family, Sauvignon Blanc was one of the first wines ever made from the Turley Estate in 1993. Those vines have since been replaced by Zinfandel, but we have replanted a small section of the estate to dry-farmed, head-trained Sauvignon Blanc from heritage Napa Valley budwood once again. Get while the getting’s good though—Larry is hoarding as much as possible for himself, and sharpening his oyster shucker as we speak!

92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck (2025):
The vines providing the fruit for the 2025 Sauvignon Blanc Estate Vineyard come from the Dr. Bale Grist Mill site, built in 1850 and named after one of the first doctors associated with Charles Krug. Medium-bodied, the wine is elegant, pure, and refined, with tropical tones that never become overly perfumed. One of the first Turley wines ever made, the nose of the 2025 is terrific, with quince, minty chive lift, salty green apples, and lime. Silky, pure, and bright throughout, it has a very pretty, silky texture. Drink over the coming 10-12 years. Drink 2026-2038.
